Terms of use

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, or by using Experto without one, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Experto.

"Experto", "we" and "us" mean the team that runs experto.am (see section 1 of the Privacy policy); "you" means the person using it. A "provider" is anyone who offers services through a business page; a "customer" is anyone who looks for, contacts or books a provider.

2. What Experto is

Experto is a directory and booking platform. It helps customers find providers in Armenia, compare them, message them and book appointments, and helps providers run their page, services and calendar.

Experto is not a party to the agreement between a customer and a provider. We do not perform the services listed, do not employ providers and do not take payment for their services. The provider alone is responsible for the service, its quality and price, and for complying with the law.

Some business pages are created by us from information the business gave us or has published itself. The owner can claim such a page, correct it or ask us to remove it.

We work to keep Experto available and accurate, but we may change, pause or discontinue features.

3. Who can use Experto

You must be at least 16 to create an account. To register as a provider or claim a business page, you must be at least 18 and entitled to act for that business.

4. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date, especially your name and phone number.
• One phone number can hold one customer account and one provider account.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what is done through your account; tell us at once at support@experto.am if you suspect someone else is using it.
• You can stop using Experto at any time and ask us to delete your account.

5. For customers

• A booking is a request to the provider. Depending on the provider's settings, it is confirmed at once or once the provider approves it.
• Come on time, or cancel in Experto as early as you can. A provider may decline further bookings from someone who repeatedly does not come.
• Prices on Experto are set by providers. The final price and the payment are agreed between you and the provider; Experto does not take payment for services and does not hold money for either side.
• Check anything important - qualifications, the exact price, what is included - with the provider before the service.

6. For providers

• Everything on your page must be true and current: who you are, what you offer, prices, address, opening hours and photos. Hold any licence your work legally requires.
• Honour the bookings you accept, keep your calendar current and tell customers in good time if something changes.
• You receive customers' names, phone numbers and messages in order to serve them. Use them only for that - not for advertising - and protect them as the law on personal data requires. You alone are responsible for the data of customers you add to your calendar yourself.
• Claim or manage only a business you are entitled to represent.

7. Paid plans

• Basic use of Experto is free. Providers can buy a paid plan with extra features; the plans, their prices and features are shown on the site.
• A paid plan gives the features and placement described for it. It does not guarantee views, messages or bookings: on every plan, customers decide whom to contact.
• A plan is paid in advance, in cash or by bank transfer, for a set period. It starts once we receive the payment and lasts until the date shown in your dashboard.
• Plans do not renew automatically. When a paid period ends without a new payment, the business moves to the free plan; its page and data remain.
• Money paid for a period is not refunded, including when you stop using the plan early, except where the law requires a refund.
• We may change prices and features. A new price applies only to periods paid for after we announce it.

8. Invitations and points

• You can earn points by inviting people to Experto, under the rules shown in My account. One point is worth one dram, but only within Experto.
• Points are not money: they cannot be paid out, exchanged for cash or moved to another account. How they can be spent will be announced when that becomes possible.
• We may cancel points earned through fake accounts, inviting yourself or other abuse. We may change or end the programme; if it ends, we will announce it in advance.

9. What you publish

Photos, descriptions, messages and reviews you add remain yours. You allow Experto to store them, show them on the site, in shared links and in search results, and adapt them technically (for example, resize photos) for as long as they are on Experto. We do not use them for anything else.

Publish only what you have the right to publish. Do not post photos of other people without their consent.

We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

10. Reviews

• Review only a service you actually received, and describe your own experience honestly.
• Reviews must not be paid for or written in exchange for a benefit, and you must not review your own business or a competitor's.
• We check reviews before publishing them. We reject or remove reviews that break these rules or the law - but not because a provider dislikes an honest opinion.

11. What is not allowed

When using Experto you must not:

• break the law, deceive people or pretend to be someone else;
• post illegal, offensive, discriminatory or violent content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• send spam, or use contacts found on Experto for advertising;
• create fake accounts, bookings or reviews;
• copy the site's data in bulk, including with bots or scrapers;
• disrupt the site, get around its limits, or try to reach data or accounts that are not yours.

12. Staying safe

A few habits prevent most problems:

• Before the work starts, agree the price, what it includes and the time, and do it in the Experto chat so there is a record.
• Be careful about paying in advance to someone you have not met, and check the reviews and details on their page first.
• Experto never asks customers for payment, card details or sign-in codes. If anyone asks for your code, do not share it: it lets them into your account.
• If a conversation looks like fraud, spam or harassment, choose "Report this conversation" in the chat. An administrator will review it.

13. Disagreements between customers and providers

If something goes wrong with a service, try to settle it with the other side first. The Experto chat keeps a record of what you agreed.

You can also tell us: report the conversation, or write to support in the chat or at support@experto.am. We may read the conversation, remove content that breaks these terms, remove a review or suspend a business page. We do not decide who is right, and we do not refund or compensate the price of a provider's service.

Customers keep every right the law gives consumers against the provider.

14. The AI assistant

The assistant's answers are generated automatically by Google's Gemini models. They may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not professional advice. Check important details with the provider.

Do not share sensitive personal information with the assistant. What you send is processed by Google as described in the Privacy policy and in Google's terms.

15. Services of other companies

Some features rely on other companies: Sign-in with Google and Google Calendar, Telegram notifications and OpenStreetMap maps. When you use them, those companies' own terms and privacy policies apply as well. We are not responsible for how their services work.

16. Experto's name and content

The Experto name and logo, the site's design and software, and the way its information is compiled belong to Experto. You may use the site for its purpose, but not copy or reuse any of them without our written permission.

17. Suspension and closing

We may remove content, hide or suspend a business page, or close an account when these terms or the law are broken, or to protect other people. Where we can, we will warn you first and explain why; you can reply to support@experto.am.

You can stop using Experto at any time. The sections on what you publish, limits of liability and applicable law keep applying after an account is closed.

18. No guarantees about providers

Experto is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors, or that business pages, prices, reviews and availability are complete and correct - they come from providers and users.

We do not check the quality of providers' work and do not guarantee its result.

19. Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, Experto is not liable for the services of providers, for disputes between customers and providers, or for indirect losses such as lost profits. For a provider with a paid plan, our total liability is limited to what they paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Armenia, including for intentional harm or gross negligence, or the rights consumers have by law.

You are responsible for loss caused to Experto or others by what you publish or by breaking these terms.

20. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia. If a dispute arises, please write to us first at support@experto.am; most problems can be settled that way. Otherwise the dispute is decided by the competent courts of the Republic of Armenia.

These terms are published in Armenian, Russian and English. If the versions differ, the Armenian text prevails.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. We announce significant changes on the site before they take effect. If you keep using Experto after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using Experto; you can ask us to delete your account.
